Our client are a small/medium-sized practice with a wealth of high-level experience in their Senior management team. The Architectural Director is a highly-respected Architect with over 20 years industry-knowledge and over 10 years managing the studio here. They employ around 15 people and have a portfolio of completed projects across multiple sectors (Residential, Industrial, Commercial and various others). The Design/Architecture team has a number of very talented individuals and they are looking to add another Architectural Assistant to their ranks to support the continued growth of design work they are being instructed on.
The successful Architectural Assistant here will join a busy team and will be introduced to the team by working on some smaller projects, with the aim being to learn the practices and culture of the team and further develop after an initial bedding in period. Eventually you will be taking on more responsibility for the delivery of smaller projects. This will involve regular meetings with internal and external teams, visiting site to assess progress and also liaising with the clients of the business and dealing with regular correspondence and queries where required.
In order to succeed in this role, we would expect applicants to demonstrate:
* Relevant qualification - MArch | RIBA Part 2
* UK-based experience and knowledge of Building regulations / construction methods - Minimum of 2 years experience in a UK-based role
* Residential/Commercial/Industrial-sector experience is preferred, but all-sector knowledge will be appropriate for this role.
* REVIT experience is essential.
* Full driving licence would be a huge benefit for accessing sites and attending meetings.
