Our client, a prominent entity in the rail sector, is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Manager for a contract position. This 6-month role, inside IR35, has the potential to become permanent after the initial period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist environmental advice, becoming the focal point for knowledge, technical compliance, and competence matters, ensuring commitments and obligations are met.
- Undertake environmental performance monitoring, analysis, and evaluation, creating reports and making recommendations to business leaders for continual improvement.
- Identify environmental risks and opportunities, understanding how activities interact with the environment, and determining effective control measures to mitigate significant impacts.
- Support leaders and operational teams in reducing the environmental impact of operations, promoting a collaborative approach with environmental, carbon, and sustainability professionals, including clients and partners.
- Lead environmental incident investigations, producing reports and lessons learned to assist in implementing identified improvements.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in providing specialist environmental advice and technical compliance.
