ROLE PURPOSE
The Head of MIS and Compliance is responsible for overseeing all compliance and administrative functions, ensuring the organisation adheres to regulatory standards and operates efficiently. This role includes managing compliance frameworks, administrative processes, and contributing to the overall governance and operational integrity of the organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures in line with industry regulations.
Monitor organisational compliance with ESFA funding rules, devolved authority and other funding stream requirements.
Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies and external auditors.
Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance-related matters.
Administration Oversight Lead and manage the administration team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
Oversee administrative processes, including learner registrations, data management, record-keeping, and reporting.
Ensure accurate and timely submission of required documentation to regulatory and funding bodies.
Risk and Governance Identify and manage risks related to compliance and administration functions.
Manage the company risk log and chair the Risk & Assurance committee.
Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to policies and highlight areas for improvement.
Prepare compliance and governance reports for board.
Process Improvement Streamline compliance and administrative workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Implement and manage technology solutions, including AI, to support compliance and administrative functions.
Leadership and Collaboration Lead, mentor, and develop the compliance and administration team.
Collaborate with other departments to align compliance and administrative practices with organisational goals.
Contribute to strategic planning by providing insights on compliance and operational risks.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Extensive experience in compliance management, importantly within the training or education sector.
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
Excellent organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
Familiarity with CRM and learner management systems is advantageous.
