Company Overview: We are looking for an experienced Fabric Cutter on a temp to perm basis/permanent basis. This will be for an industrial company that specialise in providing Seat covers and curtains for Airplanes.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Fabric Cutter, you will play a crucial role in our production team, responsible for cutting curtain and seat cover patterns according to company operating procedures. Your primary duties and responsibilities will include:
* Reporting to the Production Manager and completing all cutting tasks accurately and efficiently.
* Understanding curtain drawings and seat cover patterns and samples.
* Maintaining a consistent production flow to meet set targets.
* Ensuring a high quality of measuring, cutting, and workmanship.
* Accurate recording of stock figures on fabric.
* Monitoring the progress of work packs and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
* Organising the work area and keeping fabric in order.
* Adapting to and learning new work procedures and systems required within the production/cutting department.
* Assisting with any other duties related to the company's services, particularly during busy periods or to support customers at short notice.
