Description
- Accurately processing payroll for employees
- Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee queries
- Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and reporting requirements
- Collaborating with HR and Accounting departments to ensure smooth operation
- Maintaining confidentiality and security of employee information
- Updating payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title or department/division transfers
- Re-checking payroll calculations manually
- Providing payroll information by answering questions and requests
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies
Profile
A successful Payroll Specialist should have:
- A solid understanding of payroll and experience checking calculations manually
- Proficiency in payroll software
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
- The ability to handle confidential information
