Axon Moore are recruiting on behalf of an exciting and growing business based in central Manchester. The company has grown organically and through acquisition and are now looking to add a Commercial Finance Analyst to the team. This will be a really exciting role which will lead onto some exciting work and balanced with study support, you’ll be able to progress within the role.This Commercial Finance Analyst role provides a key support to the whole business. You will be a go to person for teams such as sales, operations and of course finance. There’s a lot of project work to get started on which will give you a great insight to the group of companies and how they work. From there, you will become more invested as a Finance Analyst, gaining exposure to budgeting, forecasting and reporting.Salary and benefits:Salary - £30-33k DOE plus CIMA/ACCA study support, 22 days’ holiday increasing to 25 with service (plus banks) and your birthday off, hybrid working 3 days in the office, pension, free fruit and breakfast, Medicash, plus so many other benefits!Responsibilities include:
  • Work closely with the Finance and Operations teams on various projects and reporting.
  • Work with the Sales Operations team to ensure effective management of contracts across the business, ensuring renewals are completed in a timely manner to avoid lost revenue.
  • Oversee the billing process on a weekly and monthly basis, ensuring invoices are sent out on time across all group businesses, collaborate with various departments to resolve any billing issues.
  • Maintain and update the product pricing list, nominal codes and own the import process to ensure accurate billing and revenue reporting.
  • Reconcile the billing to contracts and supplier using the billing software to ensure the correct billing has been applied.
  • Develop and implement billing policies to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyse billing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present billing reports to manager.
  • Provide guidance and training to billing staff as required.
  • Take on and adapt to further financial analysis and reporting exposure as the role progresses.
  • Any ad-hoc analysis/reporting as required
Experience & Skill Requirements:
  • A graduate ideally within a STEM subject and 1-2 years’ experience in an Analyst role.
  • Excel skills at an intermediate level would be essential.
  • Experience using Xero would be beneficial.
  • Confident in liaising with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Ability to work independently to identify issues and provide solutions.
  • Reconciliation and analysis of business data, providing feedback and guidance.
  • Very diligent with strong attention to detail.
  • Can do attitude with capability to see tasks through till the end.
