Commercial Finance Analyst

Location: Manchester (Hybrid working: 3 days in the office)

Role Overview:

As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will collaborate with stakeholders to provide key financial insights and support. A vital aspect of the role is leading junior team members, delegating tasks, and guiding their professional growth. Additionally, you will work to educate others across the agency on financial processes, ensuring compliance and understanding throughout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather and manage budgets throughout the year.
  • Produce detailed month-end reports, with a focus on Gross Income (GI), including preparing and reviewing the deferred income schedule and GI reports.
  • Conduct finance inductions for new employees.
  • Attend monthly Senior Leadership Team meetings to analyze and report on past performance, while challenging future financial projections.
  • Lead WIP (Work In Progress) meetings, tracking action points and challenging agency financials.
  • Deliver regular commercial masterclasses and refresher sessions for the team.
  • Prepare and review monthly network-wide reporting.
  • Develop trackers for agency needs, such as monitoring client spend.
  • Provide ad hoc financial reports as required for the team, network, and internal stakeholders.

Experience and Skills:

The role is ideal for someone who is:

  • A qualified or part-qualified accountant.
  • Experienced in month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, and management accounts.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A strong communicator, able to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance colleagues.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and financial analysis.
