Calisen is seeking an Investment Analyst to join our Transactions team, supporting our mission to expand into new markets, with a strong focus on water and net-zero energy infrastructure. About the Role
As an Investment Analyst, you will:
- Contribute to Calisen’s growth by supporting M&A and organic business expansion within infrastructure, particularly in the water and net-zero sectors.
- Assist in financial analysis, scenario modelling, and the preparation of presentations and investment committee papers for senior team members.
- Participate in the origination and due diligence processes, reviewing information memorandums and due diligence materials with guidance and training.
- Engage with cross-functional teams (Commercial, Operations, Legal, Finance) to secure and deliver new business contracts.
- Collaborate on commercial tender tracking and project management.
- Support the development of new commercial propositions from concept to execution for Calisen portfolio companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial modelling and scenario analysis with support from senior team members.
- Contribute to the group’s operational reporting requirements.
- Participate in commercial tender processes and project management alongside senior Transactions team members.
- Support business growth plans post-acquisition or organic development utilizing Calisen’s existing infrastructure.
Qualifications & Skills
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
- Computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, numeracy, and the ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
- Flexible, organized, and adaptable, with a strong willingness to learn.
Desirable:
- Professional financial qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA).
- Knowledge of project financial principles, contractual structures, and financial modelling.
- Experience in energy or infrastructure sectors and understanding of capital markets.
