INSURANCE ANALYST

UP TO £40,000 + PENSION + BONUS

One of the top insurance companies in the UK is expanding their data function and hiring for an Analyst in their Acquisitions and Renewals team. This role is an excellent opportunity to get involved in the top level of analytics within the industry whilst having excellent exposure with senior management in the business.

One of the top insurance companies in the UK. There is a large collaborative data function within the business and some of the most experienced and knowledgeable leaders within the industry to learn from. There is great responsibility from day one and as mentioned there is good exposure with senior management and general opportunities to drive change for the business.

THE ROLE

You can expect to be involved in the following day to day:

  • Conduct analysis and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for acquisition and renewals, identifying potential risks and opportunities as they arise.
  • Develop a clear understanding of the primary factors influencing acquisition and renewal performance and effectively communicate these insights.
  • Assist the Acquisition/Renewal Performance Manager in executing the customer acquisition strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support commercial initiatives that enhance acquisition and renewal outcomes or introduce new capabilities.
  • Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and post-performance analysis activities in partnership with the Acquisition/Renewals Performance Manager.
  • Gather and analyse extensive data, information, and market intelligence from various sources to generate insights that optimize trading performance and inspire new strategies and tactical approaches.
  • Provide support during daily trade stand-ups by delivering relevant updates, completing assigned analyses, and ensuring timely follow-up on actions.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in data analytics with tools such as SQL, Python, SAS etc.
  • Experience in personal lines insurance - ideally motor or home
  • Advantageous to have in aggregator/renewals/daily phasing/forecasting experience.
  • Good communication skills
  • A strong university degree in a numerate discipline

SALARY AND BENEFITS

  • Up to £40,000 base salary
