Senior Credit Risk Modelling Analyst

£50K-£70K

3 days a week in Manchester

The Senior Credit Risk Analyst will play a critical role in helping this business build their new Consumer Lending proposition. You will be at the heart of an exciting new period in the Bank's development, helping to build a totally new lending journey including scorecards, models and strategy, as well as getting us prepared to monitor performance and analyse portfolio behaviour.

You will lead on credit risk portfolio analysis and have a huge contribution to the success of the new proposition.

Experience required:

  • Strong expertise in programming ideally using Python / SQL
  • Proficiency in building scorecards / models using industry standard techniques (e.g. linear regression). Knowledge of ML or AI model techniques is also beneficial
  • Strong ability to pro-actively identify portfolio trends and emerging risk issues
  • Experience of working with Credit Reference Agency data
  • Regular experience of reporting to senior management
  • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations whilst prioritising your workload
  • Confident, inquisitive nature with an overriding desire to help and support colleagues and add value
  • Capable of providing appropriate and effective challenge to all seniority levels
  • Knowledge of the motor finance industry would be beneficial
