Location: Trafford Park, Manchester

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join a dynamic and growing supply company based in Trafford Park, Manchester. If you’re a self-motivated team player with a positive attitude and a passion for contributing to the success of an expanding business, we want to hear from you!

As part of a forward-thinking team, you will play a key role in supporting the accounts payable function, helping to ensure smooth financial operations while growing alongside the company. We’re looking for a strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Processing:
    • Ensure invoices are correctly approved, coded, and matched to purchase orders.
    • Accurately enter invoice details into the accounting system.
    • Chase Purchase Orders (POs) for invoice payments.
    • Enter delivery notes for payment processing.
  • Payment Processing:
    • Prepare and process timely supplier payments.
    • Address supplier payment queries and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Reporting Support:
    • Assist in generating ad-hoc reports and analyses as required by management.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role
    • Knowledge of accounting software (ideally Sage) (desirable) and proficiency in Excel is required.
  • Skills:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Highly adaptable and flexible with a proactive attitude.
    • Ability to work effectively within a small, close-knit finance team.

  • Salary: £25,000/£25000 per annum Full time or Part Time pro rata - £13.00 per hour
  • Hours Flexible – 25-30 hours or would consider someone at 37.5 hours
