Job description:

Due to internal succession we have a great new opportunity to join our team based in Manchester City Centre as a Accounts Receivable Manager.  This role requires someone who is able to think strategically and problem-solve effectively.  For this role, we're really keen to bring in someone who is highly organised and detail-oriented.  As our next Accounts Receivable Manager, you'll be instrumental in driving the correct accounting of promotional activities and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements. Joining Premier Foods, you'll be part of a business that is committed to excellence and growth.

Working with a team of finance professionals, you'll be responsible for managing all risk and control aspects of Accounts Receivable. Your day to day activities will include overseeing GL account reconciliations, reporting on aged accruals, and ensuring accurate billing to over 700 customers.

Leading a team of dedicated individuals, your remit is to provide operational metrics for effective resource planning and allocation.

The role will also have responsibility for all risk and control aspects of AR, particularly focusing on controls surrounding billing accuracy, promotional claims recording, and ledger reconciliations. Through collaborative working with stakeholders, you will deliver business partnering for Customer Finance and Sales, provide valuable insights to internal customers, and implement best practice governance to prevent revenue leakage.

The Key Requirements...
  • Qualified accountant CIMA/ACA/ACCA (preferable)
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with stakeholders at all levels, understand their requirements, analyse gaps in current service and turn plans into action.
  • Ability to translate complex financial issues for non-finance colleagues
  • Solid data analysis skills and track record of turning observations in positive action/change
  • Finance process experience (AP, AR, Financial Control, Reporting)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Shared Service Centre experience desirable
