Our client is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Finance Operations Team Leader to join their team in Manchester. This role offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated team of up to 8 staff, delivering accurate and efficient financial transaction processing services. The successful candidate will have varied experience across finance operations functions and will not be intimidated by a challenge.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Operations Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Finance Operations Team. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing all aspects of the AR, Treasury functions, conducting reviews, appraisals, supporting your team in invoicing customers accurately, recording cost of sales into the finance system, actualising cash flows, utilising FX platforms where necessary, owning corporate credit card processes, monitoring spend, reviewing aged creditor and debtor reports. You will also work closely with each department of the sports divisions becoming a key point of contact.

  • Lead the operations of the AR, and Treasury functions
  • Manage all 1-2-1's, reviews and appraisals
  • Support the team to accurately invoice customers and record cost of sales into finance system
  • Encourage team development and awareness of transactional processes
  • Actualise cash flows and utilise FX platforms where needed
  • Ownership of the corporate credit card processes and monitor spend
  • Review and monitor aged creditor and debtor reports and support the team to reduce aged items

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Finance Operations Team Leader position will bring proven experience from Accounts Receivable, Banking, Treasury sectors. You should have experience in multi-currency payments, FX platforms, cash flow management. Your excellent attention to detail, workload management skills will be crucial in this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel is required. Your effective communication skills will enable you to work well within a team as well as independently.

  • Experience within Accounts Receivable, Banking and Treasury
  • Experience in multi-currency payments and FX platforms
  • Experience with cash flow and payment runs
  • Excellent attention to detail and workload management skills
  • Computer literate with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Effective communication skills; ability to work well within a team as well as independently
