We are delighted to partner with a dynamic Housing Association in Greater Manchester to find a Permanent Assistant Finance Business Partner. In this pivotal role, you will be a linchpin in providing comprehensive financial support and advice to Directors and Service Managers, enabling them to achieve the organisation’s strategic ambitions. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you’ll promote financial sustainability through effective financial performance management, promoting collaboration across key service areas. THE ROLE

  • Provide support and financial advice to facilitate informed decision-making across the organisation
  • Prepare and present financial analyses to highlight service area performance
  • Supporting Budget Holders in developing and managing robust budgets
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Monitor financial performance, ensuring clarity on complex financial matters for non-financial stakeholders
  • Support value-for-money reporting and identify cost-saving initiatives
  • Engage in internal audit activities as required and contribute to system improvements

THE PERSON

  • Part Qualified ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACA with Management Accounts experience
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and controls
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to transform complex data into clear, actionable reports
  • Highly numerate with proficient IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills suited to varying audience levels
  • A motivated self-starter who excels in a rapidly changing work environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
