Role Responsibilities

As an Audit Assistant Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality audits for a varied portfolio of clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing large, complex, and high-risk audits to a consistently high standard.
  • Planning and overseeing audits, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Acting as the primary client contact, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Supervising and mentoring trainees and semi-senior staff, supporting their development.
  • Providing regular updates to managers and directors on job progress and client needs.
  • Collaborating with the wider audit team to ensure seamless service delivery.

Candidate Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA qualified, with experience in external audit
  • Experienced in working with owner-managed businesses across a range of sectors
  • A strong communicator with excellent client relationship skills
  • Detail-oriented and organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experienced in using CCH or similar software (desirable)
  • Passionate about mentoring and developing junior team members
