An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a leading law firm in Manchester City Centre that specialises in media and sports law.
You will be working on a hybrid basis alongside a friendly and supportive team.
You will be required to have previous experience of practice management and accounting systems, time recording and legal billing software.
Full time is preferred – however, part time hours will be considered.
The firm is proud of its highly successful practice in sports law and represents high profile clients both nationally and internationally with complex matters in world sports.
Duties include:
- Analysing and providing financial reports to the partners on a range of financial KPIs
- Implementing the firm’s WIP management process
- Managing time recording across the firm and liaising with fee earners
- Managing the firm’s billing processes
- Implementing and enforcing the firm’s credit control process
- Assisting with client onboarding processes
- Other finance related operational tasks and duties as required
Experience required:
- Accounting qualification(s) preferable although not essential
- In-depth knowledge of widely accepted technology used in an office environment, for example Microsoft 365, with a particular focus on Excel skills
- Proven experience in a similar finance role
