Accounts Manager / Client Manager

Manchester (Hybrid)

Up to £45,000

Butler Rose public practice are delighted to be supporting our client, a dynamic and high growth multi-discipline consultancy practice, that are now eager to appoint a qualified and suitably experienced Senior Accountant or Client Manager as a result of significant client wins and continued growth.

Role Requirements -

  • Draft and finalise financial year end accounts using IRIS for a portfolio of LTDs and LLP's from start to finish under FRS 102 - 1A and FRS 105, ready for client and management review.
  • Undertake financial close procedures for the month end, including inter-company balance reconciliations
  • Preparing management accounts and month end reconciliations, including commentary
  • Preparing extended trial balances including the final year end trial balance
  • Preparing corporation tax computation calculations and basic tax planning
  • Dealing with the preparation and completion of VAT returns, including EC Sales and Intrastat returns
  • Hold client meetings advising them of potential Tax/Accounting implications
  • Use cloud accounting tools to process transactions, prepare and post journals, update all ledgers, perform bank reconciliations ready for the monthly reporting process
  • Maintain records of our clients using accounting software packages including Xero and Sage 50
  • Running the monthly payroll for clients, including RTI submissions and pension contribution calculations
  • Preparing of service charge accounts and cash flow statements.
  • Apply a basic knowledge of rules and regulations followed by UK SME's including tax requirements, company secretarial and a general commercial awareness

Person Requirements -

  • ACA OR ACCA qualified
  • 4+ years' experience within practice in a similar Senior Accountant / Client Manager capacity
  • Highly proficient in the use of IRIS, XERO, Sage 50 and MS Excel
  • Excellent communication skills both over the phone and client facing
