Your new companyA construction firm that are currently a national leading organisation while also being a FTSE 100 business, are looking to recruit an Interim Direct Tax Manager in their Group Tax Team. The company is based in the city centre of Manchester and is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic, innovative as well as having excellent communication skills, who would want to thrive in a senior position at a fantastic organisation.Your new roleWhile leading the Group Tax Team, your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Drive the corporate, DPDT and income tax compliance processes.
  • The reporting of tax figures to be included in the half and full year financial statements, together with ad-hoc projects when they arise.
  • Providing successful business partnering and training to ensure ongoing tax compliance
  • There is scope to be involved with indirect and employment tax issues.

This role partners with colleagues across trading divisions and central functions to support business decisions, including JVs, land acquisitions, bulk sales and other significant transactions.What you'll need to succeed

  • The organisation is seeking an experienced and professional Tax manager ideally with 4+ years' experience, gained either from practice or in-house.
  • You will ideally be able to demonstrate:

Excellent UK corporate tax technical knowledgeStrong Excel skills and keen interest in technology.Enthusiasm for bringing new ideas and process improvementsQualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA), or relevant Tax qualification (ATT, CTA).This job will feed in to having the personality traits and soft skills of being extremely organised as well as resourceful. The organisation is looking for an enthusiastic individual who excels in communication and shows initiative. You must be enthusiastic about the role and be open to helping others.What you'll get in return
