Originally headquartered in London, the Group and Regional Treasury function is now decentralised, with the UK Treasury team now based in Manchester, with small additional hubs in the US, Brazil and Malaysia. While the current treasury processes remains largely manual and Excel-based, there is a clear appetite for implementing a Treasury Management System (TMS) in the future. The team is small but highly experienced, offering a collaborative and expert-led environment. Description
The EMEA Treasury Manager is responsible for assessing, monitoring, planning, and managing the efficient utilisation of cash and financial services in alignment with the company's objectives. Reporting directly to the EMEA Finance Director, the role includes strategic oversight of cash flow, optimisation of cash management systems, and ensuring compliance with accounting procedures and group controls. The position requires a proactive individual capable of managing key financial relationships, improving processes, and mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of regional cash flow.
- Forecast daily cash requirements and make financing decisions.
- Develop and monitor various cash flow forecasts and perform financial modelling.
- Optimise efficiencies through the evaluation and implementation of cash management systems.
- Ensure compliance with appropriate accounting procedures and processes.
- Manage relationships with financial service providers, addressing service quality issues and optimising bank service arrangements.
- Conduct benchmarking studies to evaluate financial services against company requirements.
- Lead, direct, and develop Cash Management staff.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce fraud risk through group controls.
- Serve as the primary contact for regional banking arrangements, minimising expenditure and optimising borrowing facilities.
- Ensure the accurate and timely recording and reporting of regional cash.
Profile
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will be a qualified finance professional with a proven track record in managing complex treasury operations. Key attributes include:
- Qualifications and Expertise: ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent, with solid experience in cash forecasting, regional or group cash management, and invoice discounting.
- Industry Knowledge: Background in multi-site or international businesses, with the ability to navigate diverse operational environments.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced MS Excel skills and familiarity with D365 (preferred).
- Leadership and Team Management: Demonstrated leadership qualities and experience managing teams effectively.
- Key Competencies: Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and drive results across functions.
