Morson are working with a Manchester based business specialising in live events including stadiums, arenas, conference centres, and theatres. From music to sport, culture to business, the organisation creates spaces that bring people together through inspiration, innovation and imagination.

About the RoleThis is a high-impact, commercially focused role where you’ll act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to the General Manager and senior leadership team. You’ll combine financial insight with business acumen to support strategic decision-making, drive financial performance, and improve operational efficiency.

You will also take ownership of management accounts from journal stage to monthly reporting packs and lead on forecasting, budgeting, and process improvement—all while maintaining robust financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting and commercial analysis
  • Support venue leadership with financial advice and data-driven decision making
  • Lead the preparation of budgets, reforecasts, and business plans
  • Produce monthly management packs and attend business reviews
  • Own all aspects of the month-end process, including journal posting and event settlements
  • Analyse performance and profitability of premium and hospitality products
  • Attend meetings and monthly financial review sessions with department heads
  • Manage financial input into capex projects, ROI analysis, and audit preparation
  • Maintain financial controls and integrity of MI from EPOS and other systems
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and working capital management

What We’re Looking For

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with relevant post-qualification experience
  • Strong commercial finance and business partnering experience
  • Confident, credible communicator with the gravitas to operate as the face of Finance on site
  • Track record of driving process improvement and change management
  • Advanced Excel skills (formulas essential, macros desirable)
  • Experience managing or mentoring team members
  • Excellent systems knowledge and an understanding of internal control frameworks
