Duties:
- To provide strategic financial guidance to ensure that all business objectives are met.
- Be a mentor and a leader to all finance and commercial staff to ensure they can carry out their responsibilities to the required standard.
- Contribute to the company's overall business objectives and guide on financial strategy, developing and monitoring the operating budget to ensure financial targets are met and predict future financial trends.
- Ensure that the company complies with all financial and statutory regulations.
- Monitor external contracts and suppliers to ensure these are effective and deliver on service agreements.
- Develop all necessary policies to ensure sound financial management and control of the business.
- Report to management and stakeholders to provide advice and guidance on key business decisions.
- Monitor the training of accounting staff.
- Produce financial reports related to monthly management results and KPIs, budgets, account payables, account receivable and expenses.
- Analyse market trends and competitors; and
- Access, manage and minimize risk.
The Successful Applicant
- Strong managerial exposure with senior level accountancy background.
- Professional Accounting qualification
- Knowledge of the construction industry - particularly in respect of CIS scheme
