I am currently working with an expanding steel installation and project management specialist delivering complex construction projects. They have an excellent market reputation and are ambitious for growth. Their focus on quality of work, health and safety and a progressive approach to the industry means that both their clients and the wider construction industry trust them to deliver.

Duties:

  • To provide strategic financial guidance to ensure that all business objectives are met.
  • Be a mentor and a leader to all finance and commercial staff to ensure they can carry out their responsibilities to the required standard.
  • Contribute to the company's overall business objectives and guide on financial strategy, developing and monitoring the operating budget to ensure financial targets are met and predict future financial trends.
  • Ensure that the company complies with all financial and statutory regulations.
  • Monitor external contracts and suppliers to ensure these are effective and deliver on service agreements.
  • Develop all necessary policies to ensure sound financial management and control of the business.
  • Report to management and stakeholders to provide advice and guidance on key business decisions.
  • Monitor the training of accounting staff.
  • Produce financial reports related to monthly management results and KPIs, budgets, account payables, account receivable and expenses.
  • Analyse market trends and competitors; and
  • Access, manage and minimize risk.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong managerial exposure with senior level accountancy background.
  • Professional Accounting qualification
  • Knowledge of the construction industry - particularly in respect of CIS scheme
