The role itself is very broad, it is the first on site finance individual the company have hired, and you will need to be happy operation both as part of the senior leadership team making business wider changes and putting invoices on the system!

Main Duties:

As a Finance Manager, your main duties include:

  • Company accountant for £4m+ turnover, growing business
  • Lead point of contact for all issues related to finance in the business
  • Providing the directors, leadership teams and the wider business with commercial clarity
  • Point of contact and escalation point for our back-office partner, who are responsible for contracts, timesheets, payroll, invoicing and debtor management for all our temp and contract business.
  • Review new client TOBs
  • Support and/or lead the negotiation of new supplier contracts and/or renewals.
  • Management reporting. Provides regular financial reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and insights.
  • Month-end and year-end close. Oversees closing processes, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and accurately reported.
  • Forecasting. Develop projections for revenue, expenses, and profitability to aid decision-making.
  • Cashflow. Tracks and forecasts cash flow to ensure liquidity and operational stability.
  • VAT and tax reporting. Keeps records for VAT tax, intermediary reports and filing periodic returns.
  • Responsible for all bookkeeping activities
  • You must be happy working at an administrative level too

Location / Office / Culture

The role is hybrid with only 1 day in the office based in Northern England. The company operate from a modern office consisting of a strong team of circa 30 in the company. The business is very flexible in its working patterns and is a unique opportunity to get involved in various aspects of the business.

The salary will be pro rata, the business are seeking someone 22 - 30 hours
