Robert Walters are excited to be representing a highly successful Private Equity Backed company as they embark on an ambitious growth journey, doubling revenues in the past 18 months. Following a series of significant acquisitions, they are seeking a highly motivated and experience Finance Manager to join their team at their state-of-the-art offices in South Manchester.

This role offers a unique chance to be part of an ambitious growth journey, driven by significant market opportunities and strategic acquisitions. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the end-to-end financial reporting of a group of companies. As a Finance Manager, you will play an integral role in driving the financial success of our client's operations. You will be responsible for preparing comprehensive management accounts, providing insightful analysis on performance, and identifying areas for improvement. Your ability to partner effectively with commercial and operational leads will be crucial in delivering accurate and timely financial information that drives business decisions. With your keen eye for detail balanced with an ability to see the bigger picture, you will develop strong financial controls, lead annual external audits, and ensure compliance with established policies. Your role will also involve preparing weekly cash forecasts, collaborating with transactional finance teams, and playing a key role in transitioning the business from Sage 200 to Microsoft Dynamics.

  • Prepare management accounts including journal postings, group reporting pack and Board report
  • Provide insightful analysis and commentary of performance and variances to expectations
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance accuracy in data
  • Partner with Commercial and Operational leads to provide accurate and timely financial information
  • Develop and maintain strong financial controls and reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with established financial reporting policies and processes
  • Lead the annual external audit process for the group of companies
  • Prepare weekly cash forecasting
  • Collaborate with transactional finance team to maximise working capital cycle
  • Play a key role in transitioning the business from Sage 200 to Microsoft Dynamics

What you bring:

  • Qualified accounting professional (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
  • Experience in delivering high-quality management accounts from start to finish.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems and analytical tools.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Keen eye for detail balanced with an ability to step back and see the bigger picture.
  • Proven ability to deliver under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills - comfortable interacting across all levels of the business.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is highly desirable.
