Heyland Recruitment are working exclusively with this market leading and fast-growing specialist importer and distributor as they look to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to join their head office function in Wythenshawe. This highly successful SME has experienced excellent growth with projections to further increase their turnover by >100% over the next 2-3 years, representing an excellent opportunity to join a business on an upward projection.

Managing a team of 2 based at the head office in Wythenshawe you will be take responsibility for:

  • Ensuring all invoices, accounting records and process manuals are maintained in accordance with the business requirements
  • Preparing management accounts by the 5th working day after end of month
  • Preparing sales targets and report performance of the sales team on a weekly basis and participate in the monthly management meetings
  • Working with each regional team to prepare local budgets as required
  • Preparing Cash flow statements
  • Controlling completion of regular and ad-hoc local banking matters in, including monitoring of cash flow and surplus fund remittances
  • Controlling and approve expenses and corporate credit cards as necessary
  • Managing and introduce a new logistics program, work closely with the logistics manager to implement this system
  • Managing and maintain an accurate local inventory and asset register
  • Managing internal supplier contracts, including office rental, utilities and insurance, forex payments to suppliers
  • Managing all tender submissions and pricing working with the CEO to ensure margins are maintained and all policies are continuously maintained and updated.
  • Leading, supporting and encouraging own team to achieve success
  • Building a strong and motivated team, ensuring positive team spirit and effective teamwork
  • This is a hands-on role with 2 direct reports in a rapidly growing medical business with ambitious growth plans.

Required Skills & Experience

  • ACCA / CIMA qualified or QBE
  • Previous SME Finance Manager experience
  • Experience of managing a small team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Previous experience with Xero (not essential)
