The Finance Manager reports directly to the Managing Director and heads up a team of two people responsible for the financial administration of both companies including:

  • Monthly management accounts.
  • Monthly cash flow forecasts and cash management.
  • Budgeting/budgetary control.
  • Purchase payment authorisations, including international payments.
  • Credit control management.
  • Bank accounts daily control and balancing.
  • Quarterly VAT returns (MTD).
  • Annual returns (P11d’s, confirmation statements etc)
  • Capital expenditure calculations and monitoring.
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Monthly salaries and pensions.
  • Managing and valuing Biannual stock takes
  • Monthly stock reports.
  • Monthly cost of sales assessment.
  • Human resources.
  • Annual insurance negotiations (commercial, DIS, debtor and medical).
  • Main point of contact for banks, brokers, and auditors

The ideal candidate will have Knowledge of the following:

  • Invoice discounting
  • Standard costing
  • Pension rules
  • EFACS business system from Excel Computers
  • Windows
  • Excel/Word

This is a hands-on role and involves covering for the Accounts Assistant during holidays and sickness absence.
