**Finance Manager - Manchester**A UK leading practice in sport and media law, is seeking a Finance Manager to join its esteemed team. Key responsibilities include:- Analysing and providing financial reports to the Partners on a range of financial KPIs.- Implementing and managing the firm’s WIP management process.- Overseeing time recording across the firm and liaising with fee earners.- Managing the firm’s billing processes.- Enforcing the firm’s credit control process.- Assisting with client onboarding processes.- Handling other finance-related operational tasks and duties as required.**Skills and Experience Required:**- Full-time availability is preferable, although part-time applications will be considered for exceptional and/or experienced candidates.- Accounting qualifications are advantageous but not essential.- Familiarity with practice management and accounting systems, time recording, and legal billing software.- Proficiency in widely accepted office technology, particularly Microsoft 365, with a strong focus on Excel skills.- Proven experience in a similar finance role.- Excellent written and oral communication skills.- Experience in working collaboratively with colleagues.- Strategic thinking and planning capabilities.- Strong administrative and organisational skills.- Demonstrated honesty, integrity, and cultural sensitivity.- Eligibility to work in the UK.This role is ideal for a finance professional looking to make a significant impact within a top-tier legal practice.
