You will play a key role in overseeing the financial operations, ensuring all accounting processes run smoothly and deadlines are met. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the finance department, ensuring efficient operations across key areas such as sales ledgers, purchase ledgers, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews.
  • Manage the credit control function, focusing on optimising debt recovery and minimising outstanding payments.
  • Handle supplier payments, balancing relationship management and internal cash flow objectives.
  • Prepare and present financial reports that offer insights to improve business performance.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including taxation, VAT, and audit regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers and the procurement team to monitor budgets for internal and external projects.
  • Continuously assess and enhance financial processes to drive efficiency and accuracy across the business.
Key Skills/Attributes & Experience:
  • Previous experience in a finance leadership role, with a track record of managing teams.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, and familiarity with ERP systemsexperience with SAGE is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data clearly and concisely.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proactive approach to managing tasks, ensuring attention to detail and meeting reporting deadlines.
