This role offers the chance to be instrumental in driving the correct accounting of promotional activities and becoming involved in an intriguing project focusing on managing volumes of promotional activity.
With a generous salary range of £50,000 - £60,000, this position provides a unique blend of financial management and commercial reporting responsibilities within a supportive and inclusive environment.

What you'll do:
As the new Finance Manager, your day-to-day activities will be diverse and engaging. You'll oversee GL account reconciliations, report on aged accruals, and ensure accurate billing to a large customer base. Your leadership skills will shine as you guide an associate accountant towards their professional development. You'll also take charge of risk and control aspects of AR while delivering business partnering for Customer Finance and Sales. Your insights will be invaluable to internal customers as you implement best practice governance.
- Oversee GL account reconciliations
- Report on aged accruals and ensure accurate billing to over 700 customers
- Lead and motivate an associate accountant, provide guidance, conduct monthly reviews, set objectives, and manage workload to maximise individual development
- Take responsibility for all risk and control aspects of AR, particularly focusing on controls surrounding billing accuracy, promotional claims recording, and ledger reconciliations
- Deliver business partnering for Customer Finance and Sales
- Provide valuable insights to internal customers
- Implement best practice governance to prevent revenue leakage
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Finance Manager role will be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA or QBE) with solid data analysis skills. You'll have the ability to quickly build rapport with stakeholders at all levels and translate complex financial issues for non-finance colleagues. Your finance process experience (AP, AR, Financial Control, Reporting) will be crucial in this role. Experience in a Shared Service Centre environment is desirable but not essential. Above all else, my client is looking for someone with proven line management experience who can lead by example.
