Finance Manager

Salary: up to £700 / day (inside IR35)

Location: Manchester (Hybrid)

Duration: 9 months fixed term contract

Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a Finance Manager for an instantly recognisable business based in Manchester.

You will play a vital role in helping support the group financial accounting team through the FY24 year end audit process. You will also play a key role in ensuring consistent accounting practices and high standards across the business, producing timely and accurate information and proactively supporting the businesses.

General duties but not limited to:-

  • Work with the Group Financial Accounts team and alongside FPAR in producing the consolidated Group results and annual report & accounts.
  • Perform central Balance sheet reconciliations on a periodic basis and at year end.
  • Preparation of group related financial close and consolidation information, working files and balance sheet reconciliations in line with the external audit requirements, and ensure timely delivery and completion in line with the year end audit timetable.
  • Preparation of technical accounting papers and workings to support key judgements and estimates.
  • Preparation of the year end subsidiary accounts.

It is expected that the successful candidate will be dynamic and able to thrive in a fast-paced organisation, where initiative and ability to identify areas of improvement are promoted.

The successful applicant will be a proactive, fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or ICAS) with experience in a similar role with a broad knowledge and understanding of IFRS accounting standards and preparation of statutory accounts coupled with experience of completing or reviewing balance sheet reconciliations

Due to the nature of this position it is necessary that the successful individual is able to communicate with stakeholders of all levels, the ability to present information in a clear simplified way to both finance and non-finance colleagues, whilst maintaining their own work load. Focussed on delivering specific objectives, you will be proactive, adaptable, dynamic and self-motivated with a desire to find and deliver improvements.
