Our client is seeking a highly skilled, dynamic Finance Manager to join their high calibre team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership, management, and development of a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants. What you'll do:

As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of the organisation. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing accurate accounting and reporting processes, leading a team of accountants, ensuring robust financial controls are in place, driving process improvements, identifying business trends and risks, reviewing control adequacy, advising on system improvements, and managing project changes. You will also be expected to stay abreast with relevant changes in accounting regulations. This role requires a high level of financial acumen, leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Take responsibility for accurate accounting and reporting of the key aspects of revenue, royalty and receivables.
  • Lead, manage and develop a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants.
  • Maintain financial models.
  • Stay updated with relevant changes in accounting regulations and implement changes where appropriate.
  • Ensure robust controls and procedures are in place for all management accounts processes and system interfaces.
  • Identify trends, risks, opportunities and sensitivities, making associated recommendations.
  • Review adequacy of controls and recommend improvements.
  • Advise on system/process improvement and project change management.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Finance Manager position brings a full accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) along with strong people management skills. You have proven experience driving continuous improvements to processes and efficiencies. Your background ideally includes working in a SOX controlled environment. You possess an in-depth understanding of processes and reporting. Your strong communication skills and track record of business partnering will be key in this role. You are comfortable consulting staff at all levels and managing external advisors where relevant. Your strong Excel skills, experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 and Oracle would be beneficial.

  • Full accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) ideally with audit experience from a large firm.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvements to processes and efficiencies.
  • People manager and team leadership skills.
  • Experience working in a SOX controlled environment is desirable.
  • In-depth understanding of processes and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills and track record of business partnering.
  • Ability to consult staff at all levels and manage external advisors where relevant.
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 and Oracle would be beneficial.
