An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Financial Controls Manager to join a dynamic team in Manchester. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of the financial control environment, compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and driving efficiencies across the organisation. Reporting directly to a high claibre Finance Director, you will play a key role in influencing best practices and work collaboratively across multiple teams.

What you'll do:

As a Financial Controls Manager, your role will be integral to maintaining the integrity of a slick financial control environment. You will be responsible for developing an internal audit risk register that covers all aspects of financial management. Your keen eye for detail will enable you to conduct regular audits and provide guidance to address identified weaknesses. You will also deliver training and support to finance teams on control procedures and compliance requirements. Working closely with finance leaders, you will identify opportunities for operational efficiencies. Your ability to produce detailed reports on financial controls and risk management effectiveness will be crucial in informing senior management decisions.

  • Build strong workign relationships across various functions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an internal audit risk register for the organisation.
  • Conduct regular audits of financial controls across the organisation.
  • Deliver training and support to finance teams on control procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Work closely with finance leaders to identify and implement opportunities for operational efficiencies.
  • Provide detailed reports on financial controls and risk management effectiveness to senior management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed best practices in financial management.
  • Support systems development initiatives, ensuring reporting and control requirements are integrated effectively.
  • Assist in coordinating and delivering the requirements of the annual statutory audit.
