We're looking for a Financial Planning & Reporting Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll take ownership of financial planning and reporting processes while supporting the Finance Manager and broader finance team. You'll be instrumental in driving efficiencies, ensuring robust financial oversight, and contributing to the strategic direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finance Tender Support: Assist in building integrated financial files and preparing backing schedules using Castaway software.
  • Year-End Audit: Prepare and review schedules, supporting the Finance Manager as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Work with the Finance Manager and her team to update and document finance processes, simplifying the preparation of monthly accounts and ensuring accuracy.
  • Internal Audit: Conduct regular internal audits on the preparation of management accounts and perform random testing of P&L analysis and control accounts.
  • Non-Financial Data Testing: Verify the accuracy of non-financial metrics such as service levels and compliance for inclusion in monthly reports.
  • Balance Sheet Ownership: Take responsibility for maintaining and reconciling the balance sheet, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Financial Planning & Forecasting: Oversee financial planning activities, including monthly updates to forecasts and budgets.
  • Performance Analysis: Identify trends, highlight areas of concern, and oversee RAG (Red-Amber-Green) analysis, setting acceptable deviation levels and recommending improvements.

What We're Looking For:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or equivalent.
  • A first time move from practice will be considered with relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, planning, and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of financial software.
  • A proactive approach to process improvement and problem-solving.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working closely with teams to document and streamline processes.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
