Financial System and Control Manager
Salary: £50,000-£60,000

Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a Financial System and Control Manager for a growing and dynamic services company based in Manchester. This profitable division is part of a listed and world leading organisation which has gone from strength to strength.
The company has seen significant growth over the past few years and will now be looking to further advance through organic growth as well as via acquisitions. This role is available at an exciting time and the successful candidate will play a major part in supporting the Head of Finance Systems and Control to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and high level of financial control. This will be delivered by overseeing financial systems support, being a key point of contact for projects where they impact financial systems and additionally co-ordinating the reporting and monitoring of financial risks and controls.
General responsibilities include:-
- Manage the inter-dependencies between financial systems, support the use of financial systems, and changes to financial systems in a controlled manner.
- Support the monitoring and reviewing of ORCS and ensuring appropriate controls are in place across the Finance teams.
- Co-ordinate the monitoring and reporting of financial risks and control, ensuring where appropriate, the link with the Risk department and reporting to Risk Committee.
- Be a key point of contact for key projects for finance where they impact financial systems.
- Drive changes to improve procedures and enhance automation to improve efficiency whilst ensuring effectiveness of controls
- Respond to ad-hoc queries and financial information requests as require
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) coming from a similar role with experience in financial accounting and financial reporting within a financial services or insurance industry business.
You will have up to date knowledge of IFRS, US and UK GAAP accounting standards coupled with good leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and support teams across finance where you will build positive relationships with teams and leaders across the business to work collaboratively.
