The CompanyAxon Moore are partnering with a market leading private equity backed services business based just outside of Manchester. They are seeking an experienced Head of Finance for their shared service centre. This position will report into the Group Finance Director.About the roleAs the Head of Finance Shared Services, you will lead a centralised finance function. This strategic role involves optimising financial processes, driving efficiency, and ensuring consistent financial practices across various departments. You will be required to manage a large team of over 30 across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash and Banking and Payroll. Support and developing the team whilst contributing to the overall financial success of the business.Salary: £80,000 - £90,000Main Duties
  • Lead and manage the finance shared services team, promoting a high-performance culture.
  • Management a large transactional finance team including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash & Banking and Payroll.
  • Mentor and support the development of the finance shared services team,
  • Develop and improve financial processes within shared services
  • Review and enhance service delivery processes
  • Oversee the delivery of centralised finance services
  • Implement best practices for financial transaction processing, reporting, and compliance.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to provide insights for decision-making and process improvement.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their financial service needs and challenges.
  • Establish and manage SLAs for finance shared services, ensuring compliance with agreed-upon service levels.
  • Monitor performance metrics and KPIs, ensuring service levels are consistently met
  • Ensure the team's adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology for process automation and efficiency within finance shared services
Person specification
  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified Accountant
  • Experience within a similar across
  • Excellent management skills
  • Strong systems knowledge
  • Proven track record of developing teams within a shared service environment
  • Ability to communicate with senior stakeholders
  • Highly numerate and analytical
  • Ability to presenting financial information across the business
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced busy environment commensurate with PE
