Head of Financial Reporting | Manchester (Hybrid) | £80,000 - £90,000 + Car + Bonus

We are recruiting for a Head of Financial Reporting. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will lead the financial reporting function, driving the strategic direction of the team and supporting the business's ongoing growth.

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of detailed financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and other regulatory standards.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial data.

Audit and Compliance Oversight

  • Lead the relationship with external auditors, ensuring an efficient and effective audit process.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and manage audit-related activities.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing financial reporting team.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Process Innovation and Optimisation

  • Drive improvements in financial reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends to implement best practices across the function.

Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance

  • Oversee the monitoring of financial regulations and ensure the company's compliance.
  • Manage and mitigate financial reporting risks at a strategic level.

Financial Strategy and Advisory

  • Provide comprehensive financial analysis to support executive decision-making.
  • Offer strategic guidance on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.

Executive Stakeholder Engagement

  • Present financial results and strategic insights to the executive team and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and accuracy in financial reporting.

Leadership in Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring strategic alignment with business goals.

Skills

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA) with extensive post-qualification experience.
  • Strong academic background or equivalent professional experience.
