Your new firmWe are partnering with a major accountancy firm with 3 offices across the Northwest region to search for an M&A Tax manager or Senior Manager. This firm provides a range of advisory and accounting services to a largely owner-managed business / entrepreneurial client base. A modern practice, they have 160+ staff spread across 3 office locations, with tax being a key service line as they continue to build and grow. The tax team makes up around 20% of the overall headcount with them providing advisory & compliance services to a well-rounded and varied portfolio. Due to growth and market opportunity, they are now looking to bring in an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Manager with experience of M&A advisory and compliance background. A flexible team, you can be based with the corporate finance team in Manchester and will be required to travel to their main Lancashire-based office for tax meetings and general team collaboration.Your new roleYou will be joining the firm as an M&A Tax Manager or Senior Manager to support the M&A tax Partner to lead on a number of enquiries and tax solutions. This role would suit an M&A tax professional from a Big 4 or Top 10 firm who has extensive experience of working with owner-managed businesses and of working on due diligence, transactions, demergers, restructuring and IHT issues when companies are planning to or in a position to sell or buy.This is a highly collaborative role where the successful candidate will work with the internal teams and client engagement will need to be of a high standard,You will be working alongside an award-winning corporate finance team who is based out of Manchester and is successfully winning deals constantly. Supporting these teams and providing a varied offering of tax support and due diligence is key.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role you will need to come from a strong M&A tax background, with experience of managing portfolios, working collaboratively and have a high level of attention to detail.This role would suit a manager or senior manager from a Big 4 or Top 20 firm who has M&A exposure at all levels and is ready to take their career to the next level.CTA/ ACA or ACCA qualified, you will be an experienced manager or senior manager from a corporate or M&A background with the gravitas to communicate and support at all levels.Ambition and drive with a clear and collaborative communication style are paramount to this management role.What you'll get in returnIn return for this role, you will receive a competitive salary, benefits package, pension scheme, hybrid working options, flexible working hours and a firm wide bonus scheme relating to performance.
