Partner Financial is excited to be working with a PE-backed E-Commerce company generating over £400 million in revenue, currently in a dynamic phase of rapid expansion. With major investment in cutting-edge technology, the business is overhauling its commercial strategy to establish itself as a market leader, aiming to outpace its competitors and redefine the industry.

In this role, you will be working closely with the CTO, providing essential insights and analysis drive financial awareness and guide high-level commercial decisions, while confidently challenging assumptions when needed. This is a key role for the organisation, as it would be playing a crucial part in driving business performance and shaping the company’s future success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, especially the Chief Technology Officer
  • Improving analysis of Capex and Opex investments, ensuring clear understanding of their impact on business performance.
  • Leading the development and tracking of KPIs for IT performance
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to the IT department, providing financial insights and recommendations.
  • Delivering insightful financial reports through Management Accounts and Director Packs, highlighting risks, opportunities, and ongoing performance.
  • Challenging teams proactively on performance, priorities, and strategies to drive business growth.
  • Leading post-investment reviews, sharing insights and lessons learned with stakeholders to inform future decisions.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with demonstrated relevant PQE, preferably in an ecommerce or tech-focused environment.
  • Previous experience in business partnering with Tech and Product teams is essential
  • Experience in building business cases, with a proven ability to evaluate costs, benefits, and performance impacts to support significant projects and investments.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships and provide financial advice to senior leadership
  • Proactive problem-solving approach with the ability to challenge teams on performance, propose efficiencies, and support growth through data-driven financial insights
