Job description:

Due to internal succession we are have a new role to join our team based in our Manchester office as a Senior Finance Manager (Reporting).  To excel in this role, you'll need to be fully qualified CIMA or equivalent (ACA, ACCA) who is able to influence stakeholder management across the finance function and wider company.  This role requires an individual who is experienced and has an indepth understanding of month end processes and reporting. For this role, we're really keen to bring in someone who is able to lead a team effectively. This role would really suit somebody who has experience in driving growth, working in a similiar role or in an audit team.

Helping us to drive our plans forward, you will be responsible for balance sheet control and risk reporting for the group. As our next Senior Finance Manager Reporting, you'll be instrumental in the statutory external audit for the group within PBS and across Group Finance with our external auditors. 

Working with a team of skilled individuals, your role is to ensure policies and procedures are documented effectively for all team processes. The Role...

  • Responsible for reporting and compliance of Sox controls over the balance sheet and journal process.Responsible for developing and producing the balance sheet reporting pack for Premier. Liaise with departments across PBS to ensure timely production and review and challenge inputs.
  • Management of the General ledger, regarding set up and maintenance. Ensuring role access remains GRC compliant.
  • Responsible for reviewing and updating the FAL, Journal and BSR policies to ensure relevant and reflective of business. Responsible for communication, monitoring of compliance and on-going education of these polices within the business
  • Proactively manage the relationship with internal and external audit. Leading and co-ordinating the audit within PBS and across Group Finance. 
  • Analysis and reporting of working capital
  • Analyse exceptionals and liaise with Group to ensure the transactions are correctly recorded and accounted for.
  • Development and reporting of KPIs and Measures to measure team performance
  • Ensure system/process improvement and project change management consider controls required to remain Sox compliant
  • Performance management and development of a team of finance managers and associates.
  • Ensuring process and procedure documentation is current for all activities within the team
  • Balance Sheet Control. This will include the reporting, reconciliation and risk profiling of the Balance Sheet. Delivery of a Balance Sheet Scorecards to ensure full awareness and assessment of all Risks and Opps
