For our client, a globally active non-profit organisation in Manchester, we are seeking an experienced Financial Systems Manager with proficient knowledge of MS Dynamics Business Central and advanced leadership skills. In this interesting role you will be leading the Financial Systems team in the transformation project to implement MS Dynamics and transfer all financial data from the existing Accounting software, perform systems configurations and ensure a successful completion of month and year end close activities. While ensuring a smooth transition and training system users will be the biggest responsibilities in the beginning, in a next step, the system will be deployed to all international offices. Responsibilities
  • Oversee and maintain the functionality of the global financial system as the primary Systems Administrator
  • Lead the implementation of global financial system (MS Dynamics) across all offices, ensuring projects are completed within budget and timeline
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of financial system implementation and enhancement projects, including defining scope, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing
  • Track project milestones, address potential risks or issues, and apply mitigation strategies. Facilitate regular status meetings, provide progress updates, and ensure effective communication among team members and stakeholders
  • Administer security access for finance systems, including setting up new user groups and controlling access as needed
  • Ensure implementations align with best practices and assist users in optimizing their business processes
  • Supervise a team providing ongoing support to existing system users
  • Create user documentation and deliver both in-person and online training sessions
  • Test new features, functionalities, and reports, and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Collaborate with ICT and various stakeholders to manage expectations and uphold system integrity.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve processes by automating manual tasks
  • Design, develop, and maintain reports to provide essential information to Finance and Management teams
  • Serve as the main contact for financial system vendors, managing customizations and escalating support cases when necessary.
  • Lead team members on-site to overseas offices for system implementations as required.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Directors of Finance and Systems

Requirements
  • University degree in Economics, Finance, IT or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience and knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Navision/Business Central
  • Strong technical skills, especially in MS Excel and/or MS Office Suite as an advantage
  • Fluency in English, other languages a bonus
  • Part Qualified or Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
