Job Title: Senior Legal Cashier/Finance Manager

Location: City Centre, Manchester

Remuneration:

- Annual salary: £30,000 - £45,000

As the Senior Legal Cashier/Finance Manager, you will report directly to the firm's Partners and be responsible for analysing financial reports, implementing financial processes, managing time recording and billing, enforcing credit control measures, assisting with client onboarding, and completing other finance-related tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Analysing and providing financial reports to the Partners on a range of financial KPIs
  • Implementing the firm's WIP management process
  • Managing time recording across the firm and liaising with fee earners
  • Managing the firm's billing process
  • Implementing and enforcing the firm's credit control process
  • Assisting with client onboarding processes
  • Other finance-related operational tasks and duties as required

Specific Role Requirements:

  • Full-time preferable, although part-time applications would be considered for exceptional and/or experienced candidates
  • Accounting qualification(s) preferable, although not essential
  • Familiarity with practise management and accounting systems, time recording, and legal billing software
  • In-depth knowledge of widely accepted technology used in an office environment, such as Microsoft 365, with a particular focus on Excel skills
  • Proven experience in a similar finance role
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in working collaboratively with colleagues
  • Ability to think and plan strategically
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Work with honesty, integrity, and cultural sensitivity
