Accountancy Practice based in Manchester requires a tax manager to work with both commercial and personal tax. This is an excellent role for someone looking for their own autonomy. This role offers hybrid working and my client is a heavy investor in people offering progression and development.

Reporting to one of the Partners duties of the role include:

  • Regular client contact through attendance at meetings alongside other senior members of the firm and in sole attendance.
  • Communication with HMRC to seek clearance for tax strategies and assist clients with enquiries and investigations.
  • Review complex Corporation tax computations and provide feedback to the audit and accounts teams.
  • Review complex personal tax, partnership and trust computation and provide feedback to the tax team.
  • Review and provide comment on legal documents related to company restructuring, acquisitions and mergers.
  • Completion of tax due diligence projects.

The right candidate will be able to;

  • Provide solutions and reports to the tax partners/clients in accordance with timescales.
  • Assist tax partners in reviewing legislation and case law to provide clients with solutions with their tax issues.
  • Management of a compliance portfolio.
  • Experienced CTA or ACA qualified individual.
  • Winning, nurturing and growing client relationships.
  • Experienced in leading client meetings.
  • Advanced knowledge of Corporation Tax, Income Tax, Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax.
  • Experience in providing tax planning solutions to clients.
  • Training and development of staff within the department and monitor their performance.
  • Ability to research, interpret and apply legislation and case law.
  • Strong IT skills.
