We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Paraplanner to join our growing financial services client. This role requires a high level of technical knowledge in financial planning and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of the financial planning process and regulatory requirements, with a commitment to maintaining compliance and achieving client-focused outcomes.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Client File Management:
    • Ensure all compliance paperwork is present and complete.
    • Confirm client risk profiles are accurately determined.
    • Collaborate with advisers to discuss client objectives.
    • Obtain necessary information to compile financial cashflow forecasts when required.
    • Maintain accurate timesheets and records.
  • Preparing Recommendations:
    • Identify areas for planning and conduct independent research to identify suitable solutions to meet client needs.
    • Perform due diligence on recommended products in line with MiFID 2 requirements.
    • Prepare information and comparisons for analysis by advisers.
    • Liaise with clients’ legal and tax advisers when applicable.
    • Draft recommendation reports for adviser review and approval.
  • Implementing Recommendations:
    • Prepare suitability letters and complete application/proposal forms in accordance with agreed recommendations.
    • Ensure all compliance paperwork is orderly and complete.
    • Manage documentation and finalise reports for adviser review.
  • Review and Analysis:
    • Regularly review client investment portfolios, asset allocations, and risk profiles.
    • Assess the suitability of existing investments and pensions.
    • Conduct investment analysis using tools like Financial Express Analytics and assess risk with Dynamic Planner.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Essential: Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or working towards), with aspirations to become Chartered.
  • Desirable: Knowledge in technical areas such as Trusts, Pension Income Options, Financial Protection, and Financial Planning Practice.
  • Strong report writing and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in IT and familiar with regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent time management, prioritisation, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and within defined business processes to achieve agreed outcomes without supervision.
