NJR Recruitment is currently working in Partnership with a leading IFA Firm based in Central Manchester who have recently been awarded Top 100 UK Financial Adviser status by FT Advisor once again for the 3rd consecutive year. A Paraplanner is now required to join their large, open and collaborative team in a fully office-based role. As a modern and forward-thinking financial advisory firm, our client specialises in Pensions and Investments. They provide financial advice to clients (located UK wide) primarily over the telephone, however, also communicate with clients via Teams/Zoom and F2F. With a team of over 55 fully trained professionals including Independent Financial Advisers, Paraplanners, and Administrators, our client provides the very best advice and guidance through a secure technology-led service.

An exciting opportunity is now available for an ambitious Paraplanner to form part of the Paraplanning team.The successful candidate must be able to analyse information and conduct research to produce articulate and appropriate suitability reports. This must be done in such a way as to ensure that the firm’s client and service propositions are delivered in an efficient and robust way, whilst maintaining high levels of risk management and operational effectiveness.

We are looking to engage with candidates who have a passion for delivering high quality support in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out research relating to pensions/investments and preparing suitability reports for our team of New Business/Wealth Management advisers within our existing Paraplanning Team (current FTE of 8)
  • Working as a team with all stakeholders within the business to ensure we strive for great client outcomes
  • Suggesting process improvements
  • Undertaking CPD for continuous improvement

To apply for the role you will have

  • Paraplanning experience (min of 1 year) but ideally experience specific to pensions/pension switching
  • Proven experience in a Paraplanner role, ideally within a financial advisory firm
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workload
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, compliant financial reports
  • Proficiency in financial planning software and Microsoft Office suite. It would be desirable if the candidate has experience with Intelligent Office/Dynamic Planner/Genovo/Selectapension
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with a willingness to learn and grow within the role
  • Diploma in Financial Planning or working towards completing the Diploma
