NJR Recruitment are working with a well-known Group of Independent Financial Advisers who are looking to add to their North Manchester based office. They are currently looking to appoint an experienced Senior Paraplanner to support three Financial Advisors. This position will be well suited to an experienced individual who would be required to analyze client’s needs to the highest level and write client reports.

This is a challenging yet exciting role and requires someone who can directly interact with the management team and staff and provide first class financial advice support to the firms adviser’s.

Key Responsibilties of the Senior Paraplanner:

  • Take the lead in developing a close and trust-based relationship with the Management and advisers, other members of the in-house team and, ultimately, the firm’s clients.
  • Function as a main point of contact and support to advisers in the local office in relation to the personal financial planning needs of the firm’s clients.
  • Development of relationships with third party providers and fund management firms is also a key part of this role.

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 5 years experience
  • The role requires the individual to be currently QCF Level 4 qualified in Personal Financial Planning with QCF Level 6 underway (support in achieving this level will be provided if required).
  • Comprehensive, holistic Financial Planning
  • Cash Flow Modelling at a detailed level
  • Investment planning, investment management and potentially investment consultancy
  • Pensions - pre, at and post retirement
  • Pension Switching and Pension Transfers
  • Estate and Succession Planning with familiarity of Inheritance Tax mitigation techniques
  • Tax-led investments, such as EIS, VCT and Business Relief and, potentially, Structured Capital at Risk Products (SCARPS)
  • Protection planning, including for businesses
  • Excellent organisational skills, numerate and IT literate with an ability to think proactively and prioritise work
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and listening skills
  • Experience of working in a highly professional regulated area is essential
  • A flexible approach to work
  • Experience in creating client Financial Planning Reports to the highest possible standards

  • Intelligent Office (IO) - Candidate MUST have experience of Intelliflo and ideally be a skilled user
