About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Head Chef to lead culinary operations at a prestigious venue in the North West.
As the Executive Head Chef, you will oversee hospitality, general admission catering, and a diverse range of conference and events (C&E). You'll ensure culinary excellence, operational efficiency, and compliance with the highest food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Culinary Innovation:
- Develop and execute creative, high-quality menus tailored to a variety of events.
- Build strong partnerships with local suppliers to champion regional produce and sustainability.
- Identify market trends to create new commercial opportunities.
Operational Leadership:
- Oversee daily culinary operations, ensuring adherence to budget and quality standards.
- Implement and maintain rigorous food safety and hygiene protocols.
- Lead post-event reviews to enhance efficiency and service quality.
Financial Management:
- Manage food costs, inventory, and waste to meet financial targets.
- Ensure accurate stock recording and compliance documentation.
- Support the creation of the Annual Business Plan and Financial Budget.
Team Development:
- Inspire and mentor the culinary team to achieve excellence.
- Lead recruitment, training, and workforce planning to align with operational goals.
- Foster a high-performance environment through clear communication and professional growth.
Client and Guest Relations:
- Collaborate with clients to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Attend planning meetings and communicate event requirements to the culinary and catering teams.
Compliance
- Ensure all menus are costed and aligned with financial targets.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and legislative requirements.
