The Role:
As a General Foreman, you will be responsible for managing and delivering construction projects safely, on time, and within budget. You will lead site teams, ensuring high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance while driving operational excellence. This role requires extensive experience in civil engineering, including groundworks, drainage, earthworks, and ducting.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is completed to the highest standard.

Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

Ensure projects are delivered in line with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Monitor progress, manage budgets, and control costs.

Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and senior management, providing regular project updates.

Implement and maintain company policies and procedures on-site.

Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and method statements.

Drive a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality workmanship.
Key Requirements:

Extensive experience in civil engineering, including groundworks, drainage, earthworks, and ducting.

Proven experience as a General Foreman in civil engineering, infrastructure, or construction projects.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage site teams.

Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry best practices.

Experience working on large-scale earthworks, remediation, or civil engineering projects is advantageous.

SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications are essential.

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Full UK driving licence.
