Our client are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join their dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing plant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations and demonstrate proficiency in operating forklifts and other materials handling equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient movement of goods within the facility, contributing to overall productivity and safety.
NIGHT SHIFT Sunday to Thursday 10pm to 6:30am                    Counterbalance FLT - bale clamp attachment trained desirable.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklift trucks to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas using forklift equipment.
- Utilise mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and address any equipment issues.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed to move materials to designated locations.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure efficient operations.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritise tasks and meet shipping and receiving deadlines.
Qualifications
- Materials handling experience
- Forklift operation skills
- Ability to load and unload materials efficiently
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance
- Proficiency in heavy lifting tasks
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures
- Strong grasp of basic math for inventory management
