Due to company growth, we are currently seeking an experienced Customs Coordinator to join our clients Logistics Team at their Manchester branch.As Customs Coordinator you will assist in areas of customs, directing and supporting multiple parties to ensure timely clearance of goods. Your role will be to support the Customs Manager in aligning operations with company goals. Customs Coordinator duties include:

  • Manage import/export activities, ensuring compliance with HMRC and relevant authorities using business systems.
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, agents, and customs authorities to resolve queries.
  • Minimize duty liabilities while ensuring HMRC compliance.
  • Liaise with legal counsel on export controls and licensing.
  • Handle high-volume data entry and customs entry amendments with HMRC.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of Imports / Exports, Customs Compliance and regulations.

 Skills & Experience Required:

  • Knowledge of customs requirements and formalities with particular focus on UK & EU imports
  • Experience with CDS system for both Imports and Exports.
  • HMRC amendment and reclaim experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
