RISK & COMPLIANCE ASSISTANT (Legal)

Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a Risk & Compliance Assistant to join their team based in Manchester! The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in litigation within Housing Disrepair.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the COLP in managing claims, complaints, DSARs, and related litigation.
Assist the COLP in identifying and mitigating regulatory risks and exposures.
Ensure adherence to the firm's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Client Due Diligence (CDD) procedures, including conducting relevant searches.
Regularly update and maintain central risk registers, such as complaints and professional indemnity notifications.
Collaborate with members of the Business Support Group on relevant projects.
Assist with conducting file reviews.
Perform ad-hoc research across various areas of risk management.
Stay current with developments in legal and regulatory matters

Experience:
At least 3 years of litigation experience.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Use of Case Management Systems.
A good understanding of Housing Disrepair and related law.
Strong knowledge of compliance and risk issues.
